Description
VM600 MPC4 200-510-071-113 and 200-510-111-034 are high quality, high reliability mechanical protection cards manufactured by Meggitt Vibro-Meter for use in VM600 rack-mounted mechanical monitoring systems. These cards are the core components of the VM600 Series of Mechanical Protection Systems (MPS) and are SIL 2 certified to provide comprehensive mechanical protection and monitoring.
The MPC4 card offers 4 dynamic channels and 2 tachometer (speed) channels, all of which can be configured independently. These cards have a variety of functions, including digital filtering, integration or differentiation, rectification (RMS, mean, true peak or true value), peak-to-peak, sequential tracking (amplitude and phase), and measurement of the sensor target gap.
They are paired with IOC4Mk2 or IOC4T cards to form a complete card pair that includes sensor power, buffer output, DC output, relays, and serial communication interfaces. The MPC4 card is designed for VM600 MPSx software using an onboard Ethernet controller and can be seamlessly integrated for a higher level of mechanical protection and condition monitoring.
In addition, the MPC4 card features four user-configurable alarm relays and a common circuit fault relay, as well as a system-wide safety line diagnostic (BIST) function that drives all relevant protection system relays and analog outputs to a safe state if needed.
