GE IS220PPRAH1A I/O Pack Speed Protect
Description：
IS220PPRAH1A is designed as one of MKVIe series I/O Pack. It is PPRA Emergency Turbine Speed Protection Module,which can be combined with terminal board IS200TREAH1A as well as IS200WRDAH1A. Both IS220PPRAH1A and terminal board can be used in hazardous.
PPRA is specific to the TREA terminal board equipped with the WREA option boardPPRA does not operate in other configurations that are supported by PPRO. PPRA alsohas an Ethernet connection for IONet communications with the control modules.
The Mark Vle control is designed with a primary and backup trip protection systems thatinteract at the trip terminal board level. Primary protection is provided with the TurbinePrimary I/O pack (PTUR) operating a primary trip board (typically TRPA) when pairedwith PPRA/TREA. Backup protection is provided with PPRA mounted on a TREAterminal board
PPRA accepts six speed signals (configured as three sets of speed pairs) for firmwareoverspeed, acceleration, deceleration, and a hardware implemented overspeedprotection. It monitors the operation of the primary control. PPR A monitors the statusand operation of the TREA trip board through a comprehensive set of feedback signalsIf a problem is detected, PPRA will trip the backup trip relays on the TREA board andactivate a trip on the primary control. PPRA is fully independent of and unaffected bythe primary control operation.
