Description
The EPRO PR6423/003-030+CON021 is a vibration sensor monitor commonly used in machine monitoring and protection systems in the industrial sector. The monitor consists of a relative displacement sensor and a housing-mounted vibration sensor, both of which are located in the same housing. The displacement sensor is non-contact and measures the displacement of the shaft with respect to the housing, while the vibration sensor measures vibration with respect to free space. The two sensors are phase compensated and mathematically subtracted to obtain the absolute displacement of the axis with respect to free space.
The relative vibration of the shaft is an important measurement in prediction and protection monitoring, which provides the operator with mechanical health parameters in the control environment. The monitor module can power a local graphic display at the guard to display machine and instrument readings.
In addition, the EPRO PR6423/003-030+CON021 monitor features a compact 3U size and 1-slot plug-in module design that reduces cabinet space requirements and is half the hot-swappable module of a traditional 6U size card.
