Unitronics introduces the JZ20-R16 and JZ20-R10 PLCS with 48K(virtual) trapezoidal logic memory that performs 30 times faster than previous models, built-in mini USB programming ports with the same appearance, size, wiring and functional behavior, The JZ20-R16 and JZ20-R10 models are fully backward compatible with the standard Jazz PLCs. The JZ20-R16 and JZ20-R10 are suitable for replacing “smart relays” as well as applications such as simple autoclaves, rotary tables, home automation and other small and medium-sized systems.

The controller includes 4 automatic PID circuits. The PID can be set using on-board temperature/analog inputs as well as analog or PWM outputs. All on-board transistor outputs can be used as PWM outputs. Jazz and Jazz 2 devices also feature a full-featured HMI with a two-line LCD text display that can display up to 60 user-designed screens, and a 16-key keyboard. Multilingual display supports more than 15 languages and 20 graphic symbols. Software features include: interrupt, loop, math, storage, and comparison. Communication options include SMS messaging, MODBUS networking, and PC access via MODBUS or OPC.

Unitronics’ free software provides a user-friendly environment for hardware configuration and HMI design. Unitronics also offers free technical support for all of its products. The JZ20-R16 & JZ20-R10 and Jazz 2 series controllers reduce overall system costs by minimizing hardware requirements, saving cabinet space and, in particular, eliminating user setup panel-PLC communication.
