Description
The Emerson A6500-RC is a 16-channel output relay module designed to deliver high reliability for the plant’s most critical rotating machinery. It is used in conjunction with the AMS 6500 ATG to build a complete API 670 mechanical protection monitor for a variety of applications such as steam, gas, compressor and hydraulic turbomachinery.
The A6500-RC module can select any channel clear, alarm, or alarm signal as input and configure the output relay using Boolean logic and application time delay. It has easy-to-use software that provides graphical logic displays to graphically guide users through configuration. As part of the PlantWeb® and AMS software, the module supports integration with Ovation® and DeltaV™ process control systems to provide maintenance personnel with advanced predictive and performance diagnostic tools.
Compared to traditional 6U cards, the A6500-RC’s 3U size, 2-slot plug-in module reduces the need for cabinet space and is a hot-swapable module that complies with API 670 standards. It has 66 inputs, 16 logic networks and 16 relay outputs, with relay contacts rated at 250 VAC, 10 A
