Description

The VM600 MPC4 Mechanical protection card is a key component in the Meggitt Vibro-Meter product line, designed for VM600 rack-mounted mechanical monitoring systems and is SIL 2 certified. Here are some of the main features of the mechanical protection card:

Channel configuration: MPC4 provides 4 dynamic channels and 2 auxiliary channels, each dynamic channel has 2 processing outputs, each speed channel has 1 processing output, capable of processing and monitoring multiple dynamic signal inputs, such as acceleration, speed and displacement.

Alarm and diagnostic functions: Four user-configurable alarm relays and one common circuit fault relay, as well as a system-wide safety line diagnostic (BIST) function, drive all relevant protection system relays and analog outputs to a safe state if needed.

Measurement and monitoring: The ability to measure and monitor four dynamic signal inputs and up to two velocity inputs are fully programmable and can accept various signal representations such as acceleration, velocity and displacement (approach).

Digital processing: Provides digital processing functions such as digital filtering, integration or differentiation (if required), rectification (RMS, mean, true peak or true value), peak-to-peak, sequential tracking (amplitude and phase), and measurement of sensor target differences.

High integration: MPC4 mechanical protection cards are highly integrated, usually paired with IOC4Mk2 or IOC4T cards to form a complete card pair, including sensor power supply, buffer output, DC output, relays and serial communication interfaces.

Designed for Software: The MPC4 Mechanical Protection card is designed for VM600 MPSx software and can be seamlessly integrated with the software for higher levels of mechanical protection and condition monitoring.

Dc component range: For speed/phase reference input channels, the MPC4 card provides a DC component range of -20 to +20 V, and may need to consider current-voltage conversion and signal transmission methods.

Speed/Phase reference output: Provides TTL-compatible speed resolution and BNC outputs, as well as outputs compatible with the Tacho bus (VM600 framework).
