Description
GE GE DS3800HIOA1B1B Speed board for controlling motors
The GE input isolator plate DS3800HIOA1B1B has a hole at each corner for mounting the plate with screws. The GE input isolator board DS3800HIOA1B1B also houses a microprocessor and multiple erasable programmable read-only (EPROM) modules. The board has a 34-pin connector that can be reached from the edge of the board. It is also filled with test points.
The ribbon cable is connected to the 34-pin connector. The 34 individual signals it carries are commands that the board sends to other boards for processing. Other signals are received by the circuit board. These signals are processed by the circuit board. Ribbon cable needs special consideration because it is a wide cable that blocks air from passing through the drive. Proper cabling helps maintain airflow. Lay out cables along the outer edge of the driver’s interior to avoid blocking air from reaching components and other plates.
The ribbon cable is connected to the board through a connector at the end of the cable. It is not firmly connected with the ribbon cable, and it is easy to pull out or lose the connection from the ribbon cable. Always keep the ribbon cable to a certain degree of slack, so as not to tighten or pull the cable. Do not pull out a ribbon cable by pulling on it. Instead, hold the connector and gently remove it from the connector.
When connecting ribbon cables and installing circuit boards, protect the circuit boards from static buildup. Wear a wrist strap to protect the components from damage.
