The GE input isolator plate DS3800HIOA1B1B has a hole at each corner for mounting the plate with screws. The GE input isolator board DS3800HIOA1B1B also houses a microprocessor and multiple erasable programmable read-only (EPROM) modules. The board has a 34-pin connector that can be reached from the edge of the board. It is also filled with test points.

The ribbon cable is connected to the 34-pin connector. The 34 individual signals it carries are commands that the board sends to other boards for processing. Other signals are received by the circuit board. These signals are processed by the circuit board.
