Bently 3500/34 Triple redundant relay module
The Bently 3500/34 Triple Redundancy (TMR) relay module is a Bentley Company product that is primarily used in mechanical protection systems. This module uses three separate relays to provide a redundant relay output. It works with a dedicated TMR framework interface module and three monitor modules to provide the ability to vote 2 out of 3.
Functional characteristics
1. Redundant design: The TMR relay module provides redundancy support, and two TMR relay modules can perform the same function at the same time through programming.
2. Alarm driver logic: The alarm driver logic of each relay channel is programmed by 3500 frame configuration software and can be applied to the alarm input (warning and danger) of any monitor channel or several monitor channels in the frame.
3. Monitor signal provision: Alarm signals (channel warning, channel danger, monitor warning, etc.) for alarm drive logic are provided by three monitors simultaneously through three independent data channels. The TMR relay module detects each data channel separately and generates three alarm contact signals, which are sent to the TMR relay I/O module.
4. I/O module function: TMR relay I/O module contains 12 relays, divided into 4 channel groups, each group of 3 relays. This method provides 3 out of 2 relay voting for the 4 relay channels. For each relay channel, the TMR relay module provides 3 alarm contact signals.
5. Installation method: The relay is the standard of epoxy resin sealed installation arc suppressor, and the user can use the relay for normal power or normal power off operation procedure.
